The Babies' Registry

The babies will be here before we know it and so Chris and Amy have set up a registry at http://www.thethingsiwant.com/amysivers/. We really appreciate our family and friends already being so generous.

How we told Everyone about the boys...

In the attached photograph, note the beautiful spring Buda Hills to the right, the city of Pest on the left, the lovely blue Danube sandwiched in between, and Amy Ivers pointing out two very small stowaways who thoroughly diminished her enjoyment of such typical Central European dishes as sausages, dumplings, goulash and especially beer.

*Note: These two fugitives did nothing whatever to diminish Christopher Ivers' enjoyment of the same typical Central European dishes such as sausages, dumplings, goulash and most especially beer.

In June, after the exciting ultrasound that told us pointedly (no pun intended) the sex of Baby A and Baby B, here are the photos we sent to our family and friends.

Hello Twin Boys!

Baby A and Baby B Ivers are set to be born on October 30, 2007; however, will most probably be early on account of being twins in a small and impatient mother. As of July 12, 2007, babies are healthy and totally uncooperative while at ultrasounds and other doctor visits. Baby B especially does not like the camera, although is in most other ways the "B" type personality.
Mom and Dad at this point are immersed in purchasing and registering for baby paraphernalia. This is about as fun as a root canal, but probably more fun than child birth.
Dad heard that in Japan, fathers give their wives' pregnant bellies shiatzu massages and shout orders to the baby to establish authority. You can hear Chris on a regular basis poking Amy's belly and shouting things such as "Clean up the dog poop" and " Mow the lawn." He also likes to tell them how they should vote.
Aunt Lauren enjoys gently rubbing the belly and then screaming the Eagle's fight song. They will be football hooligans if it is up to her.

Mom's belly started popping at 17 weeks.

By 22 weeks, Mom's belly is almost as big as Uncle Erik's (Lauren's soon to be husband)

Here is Mom and Babies A and B enjoying Uncle Chris and Aunt Cathleen's July 8, 2007 wedding at 24 weeks (she says she DOES NOT look like the wife of Barney).

And here is the happy couple!
